Drawing on over a decade of experience in leading Health Information Technology, Dr. Reza Sadeghian served Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) in California as Chief Medical Information Officer beginning in 2019. He leveraged his health IT and clinical informatics experience to establish ARMC’s Clinical Informatics division by restructuring the IT department and assuming the role of medical director of Clinical Informatics.

Reza Sadeghian, MD guided the implementation of telemedicine for more than 34 outpatient services and 54 skilled nursing facilities across San Bernardino County, including County Detention Centers. He developed the governance model for ARMC’s Epic electronic medical records program and secured over $1 million in telemedicine funding through two CARES Act grants.

Affiliated with several professional organizations, Dr. Sadeghian is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and became the first pediatrician in North America to complete fellowships in both biomedical and clinical informatics. He currently serves as Enterprise Chief Medical Information Officer and Medical Director of AI at University of Toledo Health, Co-Chair of the HIMSS Physician Committee, and Founding Co-Chair of the inaugural HIMSS AI Committee.

Reza R. Sadeghian, MD also holds an MBA and is trained in Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) in healthcare, as well as in applying Lean manufacturing principles. He is the author of 11 books spanning AI in healthcare, clinical leadership, informatics, pediatrics, and compliance.
